H.R. 218/S.1132: Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act

Handgun qualification courses will be conducted for separated officers. The course of fire is the law enforcement qualification course published by the New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS).

After firing a passing score, the separated officer will be issued a HR 218 photo-id card. The card state that the eligible individual passed the qualification course, the date, the type of firearm used (revolver or semi-automatic or both) and a phone number that can be called to verify the information shown on the card.

Call (518) 237-5463 Ext 3 and register for the date of your choice or click on the registration form button below. All of the other information below needs to be printed out, forms will not be mailed out. You must bring the NOTARIZED affidavit with you to the range as well as liability forms (found below), a copy of your driver's license and both sides of your firearm license.

Cancellation Procedures

Due to the fact that we are limited to the numbers of shooters that can be scheduled for each range session and we must cover the cost of range and range staff, the following procedures apply;

Once you reserve a date for qualification that reservation is held for you.

If you find that you cannot attend on that date you must notify the training facility by email at contactus@S-KPrevention.com or by phone at (518) 237-5463 Ext 3 to cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours prior to your appointment.
